Engstler has the chance to secure the ADAC TCR Germany title

The ADAC TCR Germany returns to Hockenheim for rounds 11 and 12. The championship has already raced there one months ago, with Luca Engstler (Team Engstler Hyundai i30 N) and Eric Scalvini (Wimmer Werk Motorsport, CUPRA Leon Competición) taking one race win apiece.
Engstler leads the standings on 281 points, with a margin of 68 over Dominik Fugel (Team ADAC Sachsen, Honda Civic Type R) who has relaunched his odd in the title fight with a double victory in the previous event at the Sachsenring.
Scalvini has slipped to third, 81 points behind the leader and six ahead of Engstler's teammate Martin Andersen.
These four drivers are the only serious candidates for the title, although Engstler could secure it during the upcoming weekend. 
After Hockenheim, the championship will resume in two-week time for the last event at the Nürburgring, where 70 points will be for grasp.
At Hockenheim, Szymon Ładniak will drive a Honda Civic Type R run by Halder Motorsport; this is the second change of car in the current season for the 18-year-old Polish driver who had raced for GT2 Motorsport in a Volkswagen Golf GTI that was seriously damaged in an incident at the Lausitzring, which forced him to miss the following event at Hockenheim and switch to a CUPRA DSG for the Sachsenring.  
This weekend the championship welcomes two guest entries: Rubén Fernández and Sergio López in the CUPRA Leon Competición cars run by the RC2 Junior Team. The Spanish team continue exploring different series, joining TCR Germany after having already visited TCR Spain, TCR Italy and TCR Europe.
