Farfus and Catsburg get penalties for Race 2 incidents

15 September 2019

BRC Racing teammates Augusto Farfus and Nicky Catsburg were the only drivers who were given penalties after today’s WTCR races 2 and 3 at Ningbo.
All the other investigations, including that for the incident between Norbert Michelisz and Andy Priaulx, who were fighting for the lead in Race 2, ended in no further action.
Both penalties were imposed with reference to Race 2.
Farfus – who had retired – was given 5 seconds for hitting Thed Björk, while Catsburg received 30 seconds for a collision with Daniel Haglöf. This dropped the Dutchman from eighth to 15th in the final results.
