FIA WMSC approves the 2019 WTCR calendar

The FIA World Motor Sports Council has approved today the calendar for the 2019 WTCR.
The series will be run over ten events, kicking off on the first weekend of April at Marrakech and ending at Sepang in a date yet to be announced, between the end of November and the beginning of December.
Except the event in Malaysia, all the venues were already part of the 2018 calendar: Hungaroring, Slovakiaring, Zandvoort, Nürburgring and Vila Real in Europe, Ningbo, Suzuka and Macau in Asia.
The Sporting Regulations have been amended, introducing the allocation of points for the first Qualifying (5-4-3-2-1) and a new point scale for the top-15 drivers in each race (25-20-16-13-11-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1).
The maximum number of entries has been fixed at 32, while race-by-race entrants will not be eligible to score points.
