Francisco Mora fastest in TCR Ibérico Qualifying

Francisco Mora claimed a double pole position for the TCR Ibérico in today’s Qualifying sessions at Vila Real.
In the first Qualifying, the driver from Porto drove his Veloso Motorsport CUPRA to set the second fastest lap overall; his lap of 2:03.857 was only two tenths slower than that clocked by the Audi R8 GT that won the overall pole position. Mora left the rest of the TCR field more than one second behind; Robin Vaks (2:04.990) and Edgár Florindo (2:05.061) ranked second and third in the class and will fill the second row of the grid for tomorrow’s Race 1.
In the second session, Mora improved by half-a-second and his time of 2:03.317 meant that he claimed the overall pole position, eight tenths faster than the Audi R8. Vaks (2:04.847) confirmed his second place in the class and third overall, while Florindo (2:05.186) was third in TCR once again, but fifth in the overall ranking behind a Porsche GT.
The first race will start tomorrow at 14:10 local time.
