Garry Townsend set for second season in TCR UK

Garry Townsend will be back for his second season in TCR UK with an Audi RS 3 LMS Gen2 run by Townsend Motorsport.

Making his debut in the championship last year, Townsend adapted well to the Audi and was able to show his competitiveness in the Goodyear Diamond Award, for drivers aged 40 and over.

Looking ahead to the new season, Townsend said: “2023 was a shift for me, after racing in different motorsport disciplines for the past 38 years, I learnt so much about the Audi Gen2 in the process of last year as well as the close and exciting racing in TCR UK, it was a pleasure to be a part of. Touring Cars was always the aim and last year I achieved that aim. Now I want to improve and improve the car further as I look to make my way forward in what was an exciting chapter last year and is already looking more competitive for 2024.”
