Gavrilov claims his third victory of the season

Nobody and nothing could prevent Klim Gavrilov from taking his third win of the season, in today’s Race 1 at the ADM Raceway. The young driver of the VRC Team Audi RS 3 LMS has now reduced to 8 points his gap in the standings with respect to Dmitry Bragin, today second in the Hyundai i30 N ahead of the similar car driven by Ivan Lukashevich. The new and modern track built nearby the Myachkovo airport, in the outskirts of Moscow, is hosting a TCR Russia event for the first time.
In a nice and sunny day, the start was relatively quiet, with Gavrilov keeping the advantage of the pole ahead of Bragin, Lukashevich and Andrej Maslennikov, while there was contact even before the first corner between Irek Minnakhmetov and Ivan Chubarov, who then collected Anvar Tutaev. There was also a contact between Aleksandr Marushko and Aleksey Dudukalo, with both cars remaining stranded off-track.
A couple of laps later there was intense rubbing between Timur Shigabutdinov and Ibragim Akhmadov, who continued their fierce duel for the entire race, but finished out of the top-10. 
Gavrilov, Bragin, Lukashevich and Maslennikov had a relatively quiet race, with sufficient gap between them, finishing in that order, while Pavel Kalmanovich had to fight a bit more to keep the fifth place the LADA cars of Mikhail Grachev and Kirill Ladygin.
The second race will start tomorrow at 12:10 local time (11:10 CET) with Mikhail Mityaev on pole position and Ladygin alongside him; live streaming at www.tcr-series.com and www.tcr-series.tv.
