Grid penalties for six after Suzuka’s first Qualifying

Six drivers were given grid penalties for tomorrow’s WTCR Race 1 at Suzuka.
Gabriele Tarquini and Norbert Michelisz of BRC Racing Team, Thed Björk of M Racing YMR and Münnich Motorsport teammates Yann Ehrlacher, Esteban Guerrieri and Timo Scheider were judged guilty of driving unnecessary slowly during the session and will be dropped by three positions.
The penalties means that Guerrieri drops from third to sixth, Ehrlacher from fourth to eighth, Tarquini from fifth to ninth, Michelisz from eighth to 11th, Björk from 17th to 20th and Scheider from 18th to 21st.
The drivers who benefit the most from the situation are Yvan Muller and Mehdi Bennani who are promoted from sixth to third and from seventh to fourth respectively.
