'Hirobon' defends his double lead in TCR Japan

TCR Japan moves to Twin Ring Motegi for the fourth event of the season.
'Hirobon' defends the lead in both the Saturday and Sunday series. At the wheel of his CUPRA, the Birth Racing Project driver has built a 25-point advantage in the Saturday series, over Masanobu Kato's Team Mars Audi RS 3 LMS.
In the Sunday Series, 'Hirobon' leads by seven points ahead of Takeshi Matsumoto. The latter completed an impressive hat trick of victories with a BRP-run Volkswagen Golf GTI in the previous event at Sugo but will not race this weekend.
Three drivers return to the championship for the Motegi event: Yuki Fujii (Team Hitotsuyama, Audi RS 3 LMS), Mineki Okura (Team Stile Corse, Alfa Romeo Giulietta) and Keiichi Inoue (NILZZ Racing, Audi RS 3 LMS) who won the Saturday series race in the season opener at Fuji.
The 23-year-old Formula 4 racer Yusuke Shiotsu faces his maiden apperance in TCR Japan at the wheel of a DOME Racing Honda Civic Type R.
The races will be streamed live at www.tcr-series.com; Saturday at 12:45 local time (05:45 CEST), Sunday at 11:25 local time (04:25 CEST).
