'Hirobon' is aiming for a second title in TCR Japan

29 October 2021

The TCR Japan championship comes to an end at Suzuka International Circuit this weekend, with 'Hirobon' trying to secure the title in the Sunday Series.
The Birth Racing Project's driver has already been crowned champion of the Saturday Series two weeks ago at Motegi, where he drove his CUPRA to finish third behind Mineki Okura's Alfa Romeo Giulietta and Masanobu Kato's Audi RS 3 LMS.
The day after, 'Hirobon' beat Kato to win a very wet Sunday race and so extended his leadership in the standings to 18 points over the Audi Team Mars' driver.
With 30 points at stake in the Suzuka finale, Kato remains the only contender who could prevent 'Hirobon' from making the double.
Both races will be streamed live at www.tcr-series.com, Saturday at 15:30 local time (08:30 CEST) and Sunday at 11:15 local time (03:15 CET).
