IMSA and 24H Series cancel events due to COVID-19

13 March 2020

The upcoming events of the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge and the 24H Series have been cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
The second round of the Michelin Challenge was due to happen next week (20/21 March) at Sebring International Raceway as support race to the 12H of Sebring. The whole event has been postponed to mid November, with the 2-hour Michelin Challenge race to be run on 11th and 12th.
Creventic, the promoter of the 24H Series, announced the cancellation of the 12H Estoril that was scheduled on 26/28 March. The event – the second of the series after the 24H Dubai – had already been moved from Monza to Estoril for the COVID-19 outbreak in Northern Italy.
Creventic will also be forced to move the season’s closing event, the 24H COTA, fixed on November 13/15, because that date has been now granted to MotoGP as a replacement for an earlier event that has been cancelled for the Coronavirus as well.
