Kristoffersson inherits Race 1 victory at Karlskoga

19 August 2018

Johan Kristoffersson who finished third in today’s TCR Scandinavia Race 1 at Karlskoga was declared the winner after the PWR Racing Cupra cars of Daniel Haglöf and Philip Morin were excluded for a technical infringement. The team’s third car of Robert Dahlgren – fifth classified in the race – was excluded as well.
The technical investigation was conducted following a protest from WestCoast Racing and the exclusion of the three cars was confirmed during the second race.
Kristoffersson inherited the victory – his first so far in the season – while Andreas Wernersson and Tobias Brink were promoted to second and third.
The change means Kristoffersson now shares the lead of the series with Dahlgren at 120 points; Andreas Wernesson if third with 110, while Haglöf dropped to fourth, 29 points behind.
