Malaysia’s Mitchell Cheah to race in WTCR event at Sepang

Promising Malaysian touring car talent Mitchell Cheah Min Jie will get the opportunity to join the WTCR for his home race meeting, the world cup’s finale at Sepang International Circuit on December 13/15.
Cheah, who finished runner up in last year’s TCR Asia series at the wheel of a Volkswagen Golf GTI run by Engstler Motorsport, is supported by the SIC programme for developing Malaysia’s young drivers.

Razlan Razali, CEO, Sepang Int. Circuit, explained: “We discovered Mitchell Cheah last year and will continue to develop him in TCR Germany this year, with the aim of getting him prepared for a guest entry for the WTCR Sepang event in December.”

In the frame of SIC programme, a small group of other young Malaysian driver are currently taking part in the TCR Malaysia championship and the best of them will be entered in the TCR Asia series.
