Matsumoto inherits the leadership in the standings

28 September 2019

Yu Kanamaru was stripped of his second position in TCR Japan’s Race 1 at Okayama due to a ride height infringement.
His exclusion elevated Takeshi Matsumoto and ‘Hirobon’ to second and third in the race results and this also meant that Matsumoto inherited the leadership in the standings, nine points clear of Kanamaru who has slipped back to second.
The gap from the lead of Shogo Mitsuyama who is placed third, was also reduced to 15 points.

1. Takuro Shinohara (Hitotsuyama Racing, Audi RS 3 LMS), 15 laps

3. ‘Hirobon’ (Birth Racing Project, Volkswagen Golf GTI), 16.384
4. Yukinori Taniguchi (KCMG, Honda Civic FK8), 20.664
5. Resshu Shioya (Team G/Motion, Honda Civic FK8), 28.887
