Proteam Racing at work to develop the Ford Focus

29 May 2015

After an encouraging maiden appearance at Monza, where Tom Boardman completed both races and scored one point for tenth place in Race 1, the Proteam Racing Ford Focus car will not run in Austria this weekend.
The Italian team has decided to work on some technical improvements before rejoining the series.

“The first step is to change the production gearbox and the Torsen differential with a proper sequential racing gearbox, which includes building bespoke engine mountings, collar, bell and axle shafts. As soon as the gearbox is ready, we will go testing at Magione. We hope everything can be ready very quickly so that we can ship the car to Sochi for the next race meeting,” Team Principal Valmiro Presenzini explained.
