Success ballast for Oriola, Nash and Borković

Success ballast for Oriola, Nash and Borković

18 April 2016

The Success Ballast system will be applied for the first time during the current season on the occasion of the Portuguese race meeting at Estoril.
Following the results achieved in the season’s opener at Bahrain International Circuit, Craft-Bamboo Lukoil’s Pepe Oriola and James Nash, and B3 Racing Team’s Dušan Borković will carry ballast on their SEAT León TCR cars.
Oriola, the winner of both Bahraini races, will be given the maximum 30-kilo ballast, while his team mate Nash (third in Race 1 and second in Race 2) will carry 20 kilos of extra weight.
The 10-kilo ballast for the third best scorer will be imposed to Borković; the Serbian driver collected 27 points in Bahrain, just like Sergey Afanasyev, however he claimed better results than his Russian competitor finishing the two races in sixth and third, while Afanasyev was classified fourth and fifth.
