TCR China resumes at Shanghai Tianma

TCR China returns into action at Shanghai Tianma, nearly three months after the season opener at Zhuzhou. The COVID-19 pandemic forced to cancel several meetings and eventually the promoter set up a new schedule that includes a double header at Jiangsu Wantrack next week and the season finale at Macau on November 19/22.
The Shell Teamwork Lynk & Co cars have won all the four races held at Zhuzhou, with Ma Qing Hua scoring three wins and leading the championship with a 15-point margin over Macau's Rodolfo Ávila in one of the three MG 6 cars run by the MG XPower team.
Teamwork has reshuffled its line-up, calling in Yang Xi - who previously raced an Audi RS 3 LMS for Champ Motorsport - to replace Lu Wei, while the third Lynk & Co car entered by the AHRT AutoHome Racing will be driven by Wang Tao.
A bunch of newcomers will join the championship this weekend: the experienced Kenneth Look (Elegant Racing Team, CUPRA) from Hong Kong and Felipe De Souza (T.A. Motorsport, Audi RS 3 LMS) from Macau, the reigning champion Huang Chu Han (Newfaster Team) and Zhang Hanbiao who will bring for the first time in the Chinese championship an Alfa Romeo Giulietta run by PCT Racing.
The event in Tianma also counts towards the TCS Asia North series.
The races will be streamed live at www.tcr-series.com, Saturday at 09:30 local time (03:30 CEST) and Sunday at 09:35 local time (02:35 CET).
