TCR Japan to race on the slopes of Mount Fuji

The third event of the TCR Japan championship takes place this weekend at the Fuji Speedway.
Matthew Howson (KCMG, Honda Civic FK8) leads the standing with 73 points; behind him are Shogo Mitsuyama (Green Brave, Volkswagen Golf GTI) 69, Takeshi Matsumoto (RT Team Wakayama, Volkswagen Golf GTI) 59 and Takuro Shinohara (Hitotsuyama Racing, Audi RS 3 LMS) 55.
In the previous meeting, at Sugo, the races were won by Mitsuyama and Shuji Maejima’s Go & Fun Squadra Corse, Alfa Romeo Giulietta.
The event at Fuji marks the debut of the second Audi car run by Hitotsuyama Racing for Hideki Nakahara who took part last year in the TCR class of the Super Taikyu.
The two races will take place Saturday at 16:10 local time (9:10 CET) and Sunday at 11:55 local time (04:55 CET); both will be streamed live at www.tcr-series.com and www.tcr-series.tv.
