Andreas Wernersson with Lestrup Racing

The Lestrup Racing Team has confirmed the 23-year-old Andreas Wernersson as teammate of Oliver Söderström for the 2018 TCR Scandinavia. They will both drive Volkswagen Golf GTI cars.
Wernersson had joined the team last year for the Mantorp Park season’s finale and finished Race 1 in second position before being classified sixth and fourth in races two and three.

Wernersson said: “The team is very good and I like to work with them. They have further developed since last year, so this was an obvious choice. I want to fight for race victories and the championship; is a goal we must dare to have. Even though we’ll be racing against many talented and experienced teams and drivers, it’s not an impossible goal.”
