TCR South America appoints Dunlop as tyre supplier

The promoter of TCR South America announced that Dunlop will be the exclusive tyre supplier for the inaugural season of the championship and for the next one. The choice has been done following a number of comparative tests.

“We are very proud that our company was able to sign such an important agreement with a prestigious international brand like Dunlop. The fact of counting on tyres that are produced in Japan will surely raise the level of our championship. We are looking forward to the beginning of the season to start working together,”said TCR South America Director Federico Punteri. 

The commercial rights of Dunlop tyres in South America belong to Sumitomo Rubber Latin America that is based in Chile. 

The company’s Senior Manager Cristian Segovia commented: “We are delighted to be part of this project and we hope we will give our contribution in enhancing the level of the championship. This is a terrific challenge, because it implies to transport our tyres and the associated services to different countries, but we are confident that our company will be up to the task.”
