TCR South America champions win participation in TCR Italy

Fabricio Pezzini and Fabio Casagrande who won the 2022 TCR South America Driver’s title and Copa Trophy respectively, will be rewarded with a one-off participation in this year’s TCR Italy.

Casagrande will race in the Monza event on September 15/17, while Pezzini will compete in the season finale at Imola on October 27/29. They will be both at the wheel of a Honda Civic Type R run by MM Motorsport.

“I’m really proud for the opportunity to race in TCR Italy, and at Imola that is a legendary circuit. I hope I will be able to make a good work and show the potential of South American motorsport,” said Pezzini.

And Casagrande echoed: “To race in TCR Italy, where there is such a big field, and in the temple of speed at Monza, make me count the hours for this to happen! I’m really thrilled!”

TCR South America will offer again the opportunity of a European appearance in 2024 to the 2023 Drivers’ champion, while the winner of the Copa Trophy will be rewarded with a full-season entry in the 2024 TCR Brazil.

TCR Brazil will follow the same path, offering a one-off participation in Europe to the 2023 Drivers’ champion and a full-season entry in the 2024 TCR South America to the Copa Trophy winner.
