TCR UK’s new champion will be crowned on Monday

The 2021 TCR UK champion will be crowned Monday at Donington Park, where the season will come to an end with three races.
Reigning champion Lewis Kent (Essex & Kent Motorsport, Hyundai i30 N) is aiming to clinch a second consecutive title, as he leads the standings with an advantage of 21 points over Dan Kirby (Power Maxed Racing, CUPRA). However, with 78 points on offer, three other drivers are still in the fight: Kent's younger brother and teammate Bradley who is three points behind Kirby, Max Hart (Maximum Motorsport, Hyundai i30 N) and Bruce Winfield (Area Motorsport, CUPRA) who are placed fourth and fifth with gaps of 30 and 38 points from the leader.
For the season finale, the field welcomes two newcomers and three returnees. Tom Hibbert and Isaac Smith make their first appearance, the former in a Rob Boston Racing-run Vauxhall Astra and the latter in a CUPRA DSG run by Zest Racecar Engineering. Alex Morgan retakes the wheel of the Power Maxed Racing CUPRA in which he finished twice second at Oulton Park, Darelle Wilson rejoins in the DW Racing Vauxhall Astra after claiming his TCR UK maiden win at Castle Combe and Mark Smith returns in his CUPRA.
Their participations make a record field of 16 cars, but Morgan and Hibbert and the two Smiths are not eligible to score points.
The races will be streamed live at www.tcr-series.com; Race 1 at 13:15, Race 2 at 15:50 and Race 3 at 17:40 local times (14:14, 16:40 and 18:40 CEST).
