Teamwork Motorsport enters in the 24H Dubai

After a successful campaign in TCR China, Teamwork Motorsport will take part in the 2019 24H Dubai, the opening round of the 24H TCE Series that takes place on January 10/12. The team will field an Audi RS3 LMS that will be shared by Paul Poon, Alex Hui, Sunny Wong and Alex Fung.

Paul Poon said: “In over twenty years of racing, I have relatively little endurance experience. I am excited to do my first ever 24-hour race with my best friends and teammates. No matter what the result may be, I am sure this will be an enjoyable trip and experience.”

Sunny Wong, who is still a title contender in TCR China, together with teammate Alex Hui, said: “From the Macau Grand Prix to the 24H Dubai is about two months time, and I think it’s a good 2019 kick-off before we enter our main programmes in the Asia-China region. I first did the 24H Dubai in 2011 with a Dutch team, and back then it wasn’t as popular among Asian race teams. This time I come back with Teamwork Motorsport and my long-term teammates in an Audi TCR, and I am really looking forward to see what has changed since I was last there.”

Team manager Ken Lui added: “This is probably the first time Teamwork Motorsport have travelled this far away from home to enter an endurance race. I know many of our friends and people we've worked with are also racing in the 24H Dubai, so it will be great reunion and start to 2019. We don't have any firm plans after the 24H Dubai race, but with the 24H Series Middle East championship and TCR Middle East Touring Car Series both starting later in the month, we're open to staying on and taking part if we can find drivers that are interested in taking part."
