Yvan Muller wins Race 2 and retakes points lead

The MRacing-YMR Hyundai domination keeps on at Ningbo International Speedpark, as Yvan Muller won the second race and jumped on top of the standings once again.
With Gabriele Tarquini and his own nephew Yann Ehrlacher victims of race incidents, Muller has now a margin of 14 points over the Italian who is 15 points ahead of Thed Björk.
At the start, Muller was faster than pole sitter Mehdi Bennani who was followed by Ehrlacher, Frédéric Vervisch and Denis Dupont. Behind them, Rob Huff, Esteban Guerrieri and Björk delivered a fierce battle for sixth.
Tarquini and Jean-Karl Vernay retired at the end of lap 1, while Guerrieri and Björk moved ahead of Huff in sixth and seventh; the Argentine then passed Dupont for fifth on lap 8 after they swapped positions a couple of times.
As Muller pulled away from Bennani, Ehrlacher and Vervisch had a ruthless fight that ended in a contact that dropped them both: Vervisch to seventh and Ehrlacher to tenth. As a consequence, Guerrieri, Dupont, Björk and Huff were promoted to third, fourth, fifth and sixth respectively.
Action was not over yet, as Ma Qing Hua in the attempt to pass Pepe Oriola outbraked himself and t-boned Ehrlacher’s car; they both retired.
Muller won from Bennani, Guerrieri and Dupont who claimed his best result so far, while just before the finishing line, Huff and Vervisch overtook Björk to finish fifth and sixth.
