2020 TC America kicks off at COTA next weekend

The 2020 season of the TC America championship will kick off next weekend in Texas, at the Circuit of the Americas and then will continue the following week in Florida along the Streets of St. Petersburg.
Eight entries will compete on the TCR class in which last year’s champion Michael Hurczyn returns to defend his title behind the wheel of his FCP Euro Volkswagen Golf GTI. Hurczyn had an impressive season with three race wins, and only finished outside the podium twice in 16 races. His closest competitor last year was his teammate Nate Vincent, who scored two wins and will team-up again with Hurczyn at FCP Euro.
Competition this year will come from the 2019 champion of the TCA class Tyler Maxson who will race in the Copeland Motorsports Hyundai Veloster N; the team will run a second Veloster Nikko Reger.
Another racer that could aim for victory at COTA is the Puerto Rican Victor González in the VGMC Racing Honda Civic Type R who won twice in 2019 and finished fifth overall in the championship.
DXDT Racing brings two other Honda Civic Type R cars to the TCR grid for CJ Moses and Scott Smithson, while rounding out the TCR field is Argentina’s Roy Block in the KMW Motorsports with TMR Engineering Alfa Romeo Giulietta.
