A ground clearance allowance for the new CUPRA

A ground clearance allowance for the new CUPRA

27 August 2020

With immediate application, the WSC Group’s technical department has issued a new Balance of Performance bulletin.
The main changes compared to the bulletin #9, dated August 14th, concern the allowance of the ground clearance for the CUPRA Leon Competición from 80mm to 70mm, and the reduction of the Assigned Ballast for the Opel Astra from 20kg to 10kg.
On top of this, adjustments have been done to the ECU software parameters for the Honda Civic Type R FK7 and the Peugeot 308.
The bulletin includes a separate list of BoP that applies to endurance races. This is based on a lighter Target Racing Weight of 1250kg, compared to the 1265kg imposed for sprint races (while the DSG cars are 10kg heavier, 1240kg against 1230kg in sprint races).
The Assigned Ballast for endurance races is reduced by 50% compared to that of sprint races.
