AAS and WSC announce the launch of TCR Lounge / TCR Club

25 February 2021

The first-ever series of globally-licensed physical, TCR Lounge / TCR Club with associated facilities and activities in relation to TCR Sim-racing, will be progressively launched in 2021. These member clubs and/or activities will be launched successively across Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Korea, Malaysia, Qatar, and Vietnam, with a total investment of €35M EUR.
Touring Car Racing is rigorous in its attitude towards technology and professionalism.  It is the worldwide authority in motorsport circuit racing competitions and is progressively opening doors to make the sport more accessible.  In doing so, more people have more opportunities to participate in rigorous, professional, and authoritative racing competitions.
AAS (Global) Limited, as the co-developer and promoter of TCR Lounge / TCR Club believes in this concept to extend beyond the racing circuit.

The TCR Lounge / TCR Club will not only provide touring car enthusiasts a prestige place to gather in exclusive member clubs it will be the new innovative hotspots to experience Sim-racing with a modern twist of premium simulators, and create the ecosphere of Sim-racing activities for the members to enjoy and experience, including members’ services, merchandises and other authorized activities.  From basic training to regular Sim-racing tournaments including prize pools of up to $500K USD, and linkage for simulator players to live car racing events, the TCR Lounge / TCR Club will provide members to access all these valuable opportunities.  AAS (Global) Limited has already started detailed planning and preparations for premium racing simulators.

Ashley Sauk, Marketing and Development Director of WSC said: “This is a systematic extension. TCR series has landed all over the world because of its exclusive characteristics. At this time, we expanded this to different levels, and gradually, it will become a complete ecosystem. I think these are not just good news for TCR, it is also good news for potential audiences who have no entry in the undeveloped/semi-developed market. It is good news for the entire racing industry, as we are opening a big gateway for all.”

Andy Tsang, Director of AAS (Global) Limited said: “We negotiated this plan for a year, and despite the COVID-19 pandemic, we are still full of confidence. In fact, at the civil level, many people show disrespect to intellectual property (IP) and use the relevant brands without proper authorisation. And this is unfair, because on the basis of disrespect for the brand and intellectual property rights, the people involved will be disconnected with subsequent development. AAS (Global) Limited is willing and determined to do the right thing to change this vicious cycle although the investment will be much higher. Just recently, after further confirmation of the Comprehensive Agreement on Investment, because the agreement has strong emphasis on raising the level of awareness on mutual respect for intellectual property rights, it has already created a huge impact on the China market, and of course this impact will soon penetrate other Pacific regions. We know that our decision and vision as early as a year ago were absolutely right.”
Details will be announced at a press conference organised after the pandemic.
