Weight change for Alfa, Opel, Honda, Hyundai and Lynk&Co

04 July 2019

The WSC Group’s technical department has issued a new Balance of Performance bulletin with immediate application.
A weight-break of 20 kilos in the BoP Ballast has been granted to the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce and the Opel Astra cars; as a consequence their Minimum Racing Weights go down to 1225kg and 1245kg respectively.
Vice versa, the Honda Civic FK7, Hyundai i30 N and Lynk&Co 03 cars received an addition of 10 kilos of BoP Ballast that increases their Minimum Racing Weights to 1285kg for Honda and Hyundai and to 1305kg for the Lynk&Co.
The Compensation Weight is applied on top of the aforesaid Minimum Racing Weights.
The boost pressure imposed parameters remain those listed in the previous Technical Bulletin dated 19 June 2019.
The MG6 TCR that makes its first appearance this weekend in the TCR Asia & TCR China joint event at Zhejiang will run without any BoP Ballast, but with 60kg of Compensation Weight. The MG cars will not be eligible to score points.
