The points scored by James Nash, Pepe Oriola and Sergey Afanasyev in the Sepang event secured the 2016 TCR International Series Teams’ title to Craft-Bamboo Lukoil.
The title is a well-deserved recognition for the Hong-Kong based outfit’s nearly perfect season that had its highlights in six race victories, fourteen other podium results and one pole position.
With one title in the bag, the team will now focus on the fight for the Drivers’ championship in which Nash and Oriola are still in contention as they are currently first and third in the classification.
Team principal Richard Coleman commented: "I am proud and humbled by the efforts of all our team, drivers and partners to have secured the Teams’ title with a round to spare. It has been a huge reward for the hard work and commitment of everyone in the entire company. This weekend worked out very well for James and not so well for Pepe in the drivers standings, but Macau is Macau and anything can happen."
