Creventic and Dubai Autodrome to promote TCR in Middle East

Creventic and Dubai Autodrome to promote TCR in Middle East

08 August 2018

From 2016 onwards the WSC Group put in significant effort to launch TCR in the Middle East; the TCR International Series visited Bahrain and Dubai, while in 2017 and 2018 a TCR Middle East series has been held.
TCR competition will expand further in the region from the end of this year, as WSC has established licensing deals with Creventic and the Dubai Autodrome.
WSC Group CEO, Marcello Lotti, commented: “After having planted the TCR seed in the Middle East ourselves, licensing the category to Creventic and Dubai Autodrome is a further step forward. The possibility of racing in two different series will offer a great opportunity to local teams and drivers, and also to those who are based in Europe and wish to continue racing during the wintertime or want to benefit from extended track time to prepare for the following season.”

TCR Middle East Series
Creventic, the promoter of the 24H Series, takes over the organisation of the TCR Middle East Series that will be given a new format, a mix of endurance and sprint races.
The calendar will be formed by three race meetings and in each of them the competitors will take part in one long distance race – joint with the new Middle East Endurance Championship – and two sprint races of 30 minutes each.
