Giacomo Ghermandi joins TCR Europe for the full season
After making a one-off appearance in the 2021 TCR Europe’s final event at Barcelona, Giacomo Ghermandi committed to the full 2022 season of the European series.
Ghermandi will be at the wheel of a CUPRA Leon Competición entered under the banner of Scuderia Ghermandi by Lema Racing. The Italian driver’s previous experience in TCR competition is limited to a full season in the 2021 TCR Eastern Europe that resulted in the 12th position in the final standings.
“We are delighted to announce our full-season participation in the TCR Europe. This is a very important step for my racing career and so we are working flat to get ready from the start. It will be an exciting new adventure that will put me in the position to face the best TCR competitors in Europe. Although our priority will be fighting for the Diamond Trophy,” said Ghermandi.
