Isac Aronsson to race a Golf GTI in TCR Scandinavia

17-year-old driver Isac Aronsson is the latest addition to the TCR Scandinavia entry list. Aronsson, the 2016 vice-champion in the Renault Junior Cup Sweden, had spent the past three seasons in the Danish DS3 Cup.
He will drive an ex-WestCoast Racing Volkswagen Golf GTI with technical support from Kågered Racing.

“We have finally got everything in place to perform one of my dreams,” Aronsson said. “Things have moved quickly. I was selected for the junior test at Gelleråsen earlier this year and then we picked up this car three weeks ago. The Golf is a lot of fun and easy to drive. The pace was also really good when we tested at Ljungbyhed and that feels good ahead of the first race. It would be great to fight for the top positions, but I think it’s going to be quite difficult considering the names in the championship. This year is mainly about learning for us.”
