Julius Adomavičius takes comfortable win in Pärnu Race 1

GSR Motorsport’s Julius Adomavičius claimed his second consecutive victory in the Baltic Touring Car Championship at the wheel of his Volkswagen Golf GTI. The Lithuanian driver who had won the second race in the series’ previous event, took a comfortable victory in the first race on the Estonian circuit of Pärnu.
This result also meant that he took the leadership in the standings, four points clear of Džiugas Tovilavičius and six of Ramūnas Čapkauskas who finished second and third in the race.
At the start, Tovilavičius was faster than pole sitter Adomavičius and entered first into Turn 1; Kęstutis Stasionis missed the braking point and went wide, collecting Peeter Peek. They both rejoined at the back of the field.
On lap 2, Adomavičius overtook Tovilavičius for the lead and began to create a gap, while Čapkauskas who had swapped his CUPRA for a Hyundai i30 N cruised in third position.
With the top three well ahead, Stasionis and Peek recovered to fourth and fifth respectively, but with three laps to go Stasionis pulled up with a possible overheating issue as the radiator of his Golf was completely clogged by the grass he had picked up in the first lap incident.
