Mikel Azcona joins for TCR Ibérico finale at Jerez

Mikel Azcona is a last-minute addition to the field of the TCR Ibérico season finale that takes places this weekend at Jerez de la Frontera.
The 2018 TCR Europe champion will be at the wheel of a second CUPRA entered by Volcano Motorsport, alongside that of Evgenii Leonov.
During the current season, Azcona has competed in the WTCR, driving a CUPRA Leon Competición for Zengő Motorsport, claiming one race win and finishing seventh in the standings. He has also taken part in several events of the Campeonato de España Resistencia, sharing a Volcano Motorsport CUPRA with Leonov, and made guest appearances in TCR Europe and TCR Italy championships.
A much varied programme that enabled him to collect an outstanding 11 victories: one in WTCR, three in TCR Europe, two in TCR Italy and five in the CER.
