Sapag joins TTA to race in 2023 TCR South America

Toyota Team Argentina signed José Manuel Sapag as the second driver for its 2023 campaign in TCR South America and TCR Brazil. Sapag will join the already confirmed Bernardo Llaver at the wheel of one of the team’s Toyota Corolla GRS cars.

Sapag has been competing in TCR South America from its very start; after finishing fourth in the 2021 championship at the wheel of a Honda Civic Type R he repeated that result last year in a Lynk & Co 03, claiming his first race win at El Pinar.

“I’m happy to continue in TCR, a category that I like a lot and has a bright future. I’m very excited by the idea of racing twice with the TCR World Tour and I’m looking forward to the challenge of developing the new Toyota,”said Sapag.
