Sharky-Racing wins at Abu Dhabi on its maiden appearance

The 6-hour race at Abu Dhabi, second round of the 24H Series saw Sharky-Racing claiming victory on its maiden appearance. The Audi RS 3 LMS DSG shared by Artur Goroyan and Roman Mavlanov came out on top of the TCR class, beating the Wolf-Power Racing Audi RS 3 LMS of Jasmin Preisig, Ivars Vallers, Nicolas Baert and Ricky Coomber by just six seconds.

The first of two AC Motorsport Audi RS 3 LMS cars driven by Marcos Costantini, Niels Ulrich Nyboe and Jonas Karklys finished third in the class after losing more than an hour in the pits when its right rear suspension failed. The sister Audi car of Paul Sieljes, Mato Matosevic and Victor Moutinho retired with gearbox issues.

The second place also meant that the Wolf-Power Racing Audi #121 claimed the TCR Teams’ title in the Middle East Trophy.
