Tavano keeps the win, but Guidetti loses second place

01 September 2019

The post-race investigations on the incidents occurred during the second race of TCR Italy at Imola had different outcomes.
The reigning champion Salvatore Tavano kept his win as the collision he had with Marco Pellegrini at the Tosa bend during the fifth lap was considered by the Stewards as a normal racing incident.
At the same time, the Stewards judged Jacopo Guidetti guilty of the contact with Igor Stefanovski during the 14th lap and imposed to him a one-second time penalty that demoted him to third behind the Macedonian driver.

Race 2 amended
1. Salvatore Tavano (Scuderia del Girasole, CUPRA), 15 laps
2. Igor Stefanovski (Stefanovski racing Team, CUPRA), 3.285
3. Jacopo Guidetti (BF Motorsport, Audi RS 3 LMS), 3.565
4. Massimiliano Mugelli (PRS Motorsport, Alfa Romeo Giulietta), 5.508
5. Eric Scalvini (Scuderia del Girasole, CUPRA DSG), 8.609

Championship points
1. Tavano 132 pts; 2. Pellegrini 100; 3. Greco 91
