TCR Asia postpones the season’s opener at Sepang

The opening event of the 2020 TCR Asia championship that was scheduled on April 10/12 at Sepang International Circuit has been postponed due to the COVID-19 emergency.
The promoter, Motorsport Asia’s CEO David Sonenscher explained: “We are monitoring the developments on a regular basis and making contingency plans to begin the season as soon as the situation becomes safe and is under control, and travel restrictions are lifted. It is our hope that this will happen sooner rather than later, however, we can confirm that it is our intention to run a full season of five TCR Asia events, as originally planned."
The next meeting is currently scheduled at Zhejiang on May 29/31.
