30 April 2017

The second race of the TCR Ibérico opener at Estoril went to the 2016 TCR Portugal champion Francisco Mora who drove his Veloso Motorsport SEAT León to a comfortable victory.

Patrick Cunha who replaced Rafael Lobato in the Race 1 winner Speedy Motorsport Audi RS3 LMS retired in the early stages after a collision with Gustavo Moura’s Baporo Motorsport SEAT.
César Machado (Speedy Motorsport SEAT) held on second position for the whole race, while Francisco Abreu (Team Novadriver Volkswagen Golf GTi) overtook Nuno Batista (Veloso Motorsport SEAT) and Amalia Vinyes (Baporo Motorsport SEAT) moving up to third. Vinyes finished a respectable fourth, ahead of Batista.
Four laps before the end the CRM Motorsport KIA cee’d of João  Baptista retired from seventh with a power-steering failure.
The TCR Ibérico will resume for rounds 3 & 4 at Jarama, Spain on June 10/11.
