The IMSA Michelin Challenge resumes at Road America

30 July 2020

Road America at Elkhart Lake is the venue for the third round of the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge. The competitors will take part in a two-hour race on Saturday afternoon.
It will be interesting to see how the Hyundai Veloster N cars will perform after they were imposed a reduction of engine power level from 100% to 95%.
This decision taken by WSC Technical Department followed their domination in the previous event at Sebring where the Korean cars filled the top five spots in Qualifying and the top three in the race.
Those results propelled the Bryan Herta Autosport's teams of Mark Wilkins-Harry Gottsacker and Michael Lewis-Mason Fillippi to first and second in the standings, on equal points. Two points behind are the Audi RS 3 LMS cars of Gavin Ernstone-Jonathan Morley (Road Shagger Racing) - the winners of the season opener at Daytona - and Mickey Taylor (Fast MD Racing).
