The WTCR’s Germany event was cancelled as well

17 March 2020

After being forced to cancel the WTCR season opener at the Hungaroring, the series promoter Eurosport Events had to call of the second event at the Nürburgring as well.
The race meeting that was due to take place on 21/23 May together with the ADAC 24H Rennen event, was cancelled due to the restrictions imposed by the German government following the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, in order to maintain the planned 20-race WTCR calendar, the event at Vila Real and Salzburgring will both include an additional qualifying session and race. The qualifying sessions and races scheduled for the event at the Hungaroring have already been incorporated into the WTCR Race of Spain timetable.
