Tom Oliphant in two-year TCR Australia campaign

British Touring Car Championship race winner Tom Oliphant will join TCR Australia for the 2023 and 2024 seasons with Ashley Seward Motorsport.

Oliphant, 32, will drive an Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce and brings a wealth of experience, following a four-year stint in the BTCC in which he won two races and finished on the podium on ten occasions, finishing a career-best sixth in the 2020 season.

“I’m absolutely over the moon to announce I’ll be racing in TCR Australia,” said Oliphant. “It’s been a dream of mine to race in Australia and I’ll finally get to live it out in 2023. TCR Australia is obviously a very, very competitive category; I see it as a real challenge and I’m looking forward to every moment. I’m very proud to be joining Ashley Seward Motorsport. The team do an incredible job and I was impressed when I met with them in Melbourne recently and the Alfa Romeo is a proven race winner.”
