Two Audi cars from RC2 Racing Team for Portimão
Spain-based RC2 Racing Team it will enter two second generation Audi RS 3 LMS cars for the opening TCR Europe event at the Autódromo do Algarve in Portimão. The drivers are brothers Rubén and Felipe Fernández, who entered several rounds of the championship in 2022.
Neither driver entered the Portuguese event last year, but Felipe finished the season in 19th place in the Drivers’ standings after tackling the Spa-Francorchamps, Monza and Barcelona rounds, in which his best result was a sixth place in Race 2 at Monza.
Rubén Fernández also contested the same events but was also entered for the Norisring round in Germany, ending the season in 29th place in the standings.
They both have competed last weekend at Imola in TCR Italy’s season opener, where Rubén finished eighth and fifth in the two races.
